Frequently asked questions

If you already have an (Insert Bidding App Name if applicable) account, use the “Log In” section using the Username and Password that you registered with.

If you do not already have an (Insert Bidding App Name if applicable) account click the “Register Now” button.
You will need to setup a Username and password and fill out the form with your contact information. Please ensure you read through and the Terms and Conditions and click to agree before hitting the “Signup” at the bottom of the page.

Once you register for an (Insert Bidding App Name if applicableaccount you will receive an email to verify your email address. Please follow the instructions to verify your email address.
Once you have verified your email you have successfully registered and will receive an email confirming your login information including your username and password.

Each auction is a unique event. Even if you have participated in an auction with us in the past, you will need to register to receive a bidder number for each upcoming auction you’d like to bid in.

You will need to be logged in to register for an auction.
You can register to bid in an auction either from the Auctions page, Catalogue Page or from the Lot page of the item you are interested in.
Just click the ‘Register to Bid Live’ button.
Ensure you read through the Terms and Conditions, check the ‘I agree’ box, and click the 'Confirm' button.
You will receive a confirmation email when you are registered for the auction.

If you are signed in, you can update your details here (Insert URL Here) or by clicking the “Profile” link at the top of the page.

If you are trying to Log In but cannot remember your password, simply click the “Forgot Password” link and follow the prompts. You will need the username and email address that you registered with in order for us to send a password reset email.

If you have forgotten your Username, you can retrieve this by clicking the “Forgot Username” link from the “Forgot Password” page. You will need to have the email address that you used to register with.

These auctions are traditional auctions held at one of our facilities or any onsite location so you can choose to buy online through the bidding system or attend the auction to bid in person. Make sure to check the location, date and time of the auction so you don’t miss out.

You will need to be logged in and registered for the auction in order to bid.
Before the live auction has begun you are able to place absentee bids (or pre-bids).
Once the Live Auction has begun you can place bids real-time in the live bidding applet (or Insert Bidding App Name if applicable).

Absentee bids are bids that are placed in advance by a bidder that is either not able to attend the auction or unable bid live online on the day. They can be left at anytime prior to the auction or even during the live auction providing that lot is not currently being offered or already sold in the live auction.

To leave an absentee bid online, you will need to be logged in and registered for the auction.

Visit the online catalogue for the auction that interests you, then browse or search for lots on your computer, tablet, or mobile device.
You can place a single bid on a lot either on the catalogue page or from the lot details page by entering the amount you wish to bid and clicking the “Place Bid” button. You will be asked to confirm your bid and receive an email notification that your bid has been placed.

You can place multiple bids within an Auction from the catalogue page by entering your bid amount in the box provided and clicking the “Place Multiple Bids” button at the bottom of the catalogue listing page. You will be asked to confirm your bids and receive an email notification that your bids have been placed.

Logged in Users can keep track of your bids and at any time by clicking on the “My Items” link at the top of the page. You will also be able to see if you are the current high bidder on that lot.

If you have placed an Absentee bid on a lot and receive an email that you have been outbid, this means that another bidder as placed a higher absentee bid on the same lot. This gives you the opportunity to increase your absentee bid and still have a chance of winning that lot. This can be done in the “My Items” section.
If you do not want to increase your bid, you might consider bidding on a different lot in the Auction.

Go to (insert URL Here) or click on “My Items” at the top of the page.
Here you will be able to see any live lots that you have placed a bid on as well as any

Check the date and start time of the auction and make sure you are online at the correct time. You will need to be logged in and registered for the auction in order to bid live.

Once the sale has started you will see a link (Insert Link description here – colour / wording) at the top of the catalogue page and also on any of the Lot Detail pages for that Auction. Click this link to launch the live bidding applet (or Insert Bidding App name if applicable). If you do not see this link and the auction should have started, try refreshing the page.

In the live bidding Application (or Insert Bidding App name if applicable) you will be able to see and hear all the activity of the live auction through the media player. Ensure you have Flash installed and enabled on your computer to access this feature.

The live bidding Application (or Insert Bidding App name if applicable) will update in real time as the auction progresses. You will see the Images and Description of the lot being offered as well as the Current bid price and asking price.

To place a bid in the live Auction, make sure you are aware of the current asking price simply press the “Bid Now” button where the asking price is displayed. The system will show if you are the high bidder or if you are outbid.

Online bids are processed in real time so you must be listening well and ready to push “Bid Now” or you might miss out.

Live auctions will usually have GST and Buyers premium applicable which is not included in the bid price so always make sure you double check the auction’s GST status and the Buyer’s Premium on your item so that there are no surprises when the invoice arrives.

Auctions can be fast paced environments and sometimes when an online bid is placed, the auctioneer has already taken a bid at the same amount from a buyer on the auction room floor. In this case the auctioneer may give the floor buyer priority. You will see a message in the Bidding Applet (or Insert Bidding App name if applicable) stating that “the auctioneer gave the floor priority”. If you want to win the lot you will need to bid again at the next asking price.

Our site (or Insert Bidding App name if applicable) is fully responsive so you can search, browse and bid using your mobile devices however as most mobile devices don’t support Flash you will not have access to the video and Audio stream from the live Auction. You will still see all bidding information in real time including the current bid, asking price and a live log of activity as it happens.

When you win an online auction, you will automatically receive an email from the system confirming your winning bid. Alternatively, you can check all your winning bids in the ‘My Items’ section.

If you are the winning bidder, an invoice will be emailed to you shortly after the
completion of the whole auction. Payment and collection details will be on the invoice.

You should check that the device you're using has the sound turned on and working speakers available to broadcast sound. Ensure that you have Flash installed and enabled on your computer and also check that the flash media player in the bidding applet is not muted.
To Enable Flash -

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. Go to (Insert bidding sub-domain URL Here)
3. To the left of the web address, click Lock or Info.
4. To the right of "Flash," click the Arrows.
5. Choose Always allow on this site.
6. At the top left, click Reload.

Ensure that you have Flash installed and enabled on your computer. If you launched the bidding applet before the video stream started you may need to refresh the page and also check that the flash media player in the bidding applet is not paused.

To Enable Flash -

7. On your computer, open Chrome.
8. Go to (Insert bidding sub-domain URL Here)
9. To the left of the web address, click Lock or Info.
10. To the right of "Flash," click the Arrows.
11. Choose Always allow on this site.
12. At the top left, click Reload.
